Caitlyn + Skylar – Katie Hearn Oaks – Leroy, AL

It’s here again! Wedding Wednesday! 🙂

This week’s feature just has my eyes in heart eye mode every time I look at it. When Caitlyn first reached out to me, she already knew there were a few things that really mattered to her, and they just so happened to be two of my favorite things about wedding days…. the details and the first look!

Caitlyn’s dress was absolutely stunning, and I think I’m still dreaming about her veil. Her flowers were classic, whites and creams and all were the perfect complements to a day under the pecan trees of Katie Hearn Oaks.

You’ll notice in the portraits, Skylar is dressed in his Marine dress blues and that his cake table was a salute to his military service. During the ceremony, the pastor actually mentioned how this played into their story, and I thought it was great. Apparently, Caitlyn and Skylar first met while working at Kinnucan’s, but it wasn’t until Skylar went off to bootcamp and came back “more mature than before” that their love story really took off.

Regardless of what the military may have done for his maturity level, these two still found their childlike hearts honeymooning at DISNEY after this beautiful wedding! I tried my best to work my way into their suitcase, but alas, here I am. Still in Shreveport. Ha!
