Claudia Cathryn + Hamilton – Engagement Portraits – Thomasville, Alabama

You know those moments that make you feel old?

Well, I remember when these two were kids. Like toddlers kind of kids. Haha!

But you know what’s special? That I get to be such a special part of the next portion of their lives as adults. That I get to be there as they literally create history in joining their two families and beginning the next phase of their life to create their own family.

Growing up in a small town where “everybody knows everybody,” it’s no surprise that I have always known OF Claudia Cathryn and Hamilton even if I didn’t ACTUALLY know them. Hamilton’s mom was a teacher of mine in middle school and well… as is also true of small towns, if you had enough time, I could tell you how my family tree and Claudia Cathryn’s family tree share a branch by marriage. Ha!

For their engagement session, we met up at a beautiful camp house tucked deep into the southwest Alabama woods and reveled in the some of the best color the area has to offer. We enjoyed the greatest qualities of rural living- peaceful, quiet surroundings and great scenery.

I can’t wait to make the trip back home in April to celebrate these two on their wedding day! Knowing Claudia Cathryn and her mom, I am certain it will be a stunning day!
