We are in full swing for family portraits right now, and I’m loving it!
One of my favorite things about having the opportunity to photograph in downtown Charleston is that it is ever-changing. Every season brings about a new look. In spring, we are blessed with wisteria and jasmine, in the summer the crepe myrtles are beyond incredible, and the fall brings a bit of color to the leaves and a gorgeous glow. And in the winter, when most places are barren and blah, Downtown Charleston retains a special charm that is unmatched.
So, when Lili reached out about capturing their family portraits while they were in town a couple months ago, it made total sense that they would want to document their sweet family in their former home. They’ve since moved to be closer to family, but this beautiful place continues to draw them back time and time again.
She was a little hesitant about booking a full hour portrait session at first, because she wasn’t sure if Little Mr. Blair would be able to make it the entire time. However, the good news is that I can always come up with a game to play or ridiculous song to sing to keep little ones engaged and entertained! We searched for the perfect rock on Chalmers (lots of rocks to choose from on a cobblestone street!), talked about his favorite show- Paw Patrol, and played games as we walked about the streets in the historic district.
A fun time was had by all, and if I dare say so myself… they have beautiful family portraits to show for it. 🙂
