Friends, let me introduce you to a couple I’m certain you’ll fall as in love with as I have this past weekend. Lexi and Tanner.
Lexi is an absolute darling ray of sunshine and a stunning beauty, and Tanner is so chill, relaxed, and loves his girl well.
Lexi reached out to me a few months ago about capturing their March wedding at White Oak Venue in Ruston, Louisiana, and I knew from out first conversation that she would fit perfectly in the #JBradfordBride tribe. Her light shines even over the phone! 🙂
As we began scheduling their engagement session, we found out we had several things to navigate… my schedule and the busyness that is fall wedding season in the south, her schedule as a new nurse, and (I have to pick on him just a little…) Tanner’s hunting schedule! 😉 Thankfully, we all agreed on the perfect date, and Friday couldn’t have been more beautiful. We started out at Landry Vineyards in West Monroe where we galavanted through rows and rows of beautiful vines and sipped on glasses of their finest wines. The light, the atmosphere, the fall air… it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Our second stop makes me giggle, though. I’ve been known to LOVE Google Maps more than any one person should. When I plan a trip, I spend hours and hours walking the virtual streets of my destinations. Thankfully, that obsession has come in handy as I’ve learned to navigate an area of the world from which I do not hail and in which only have a few years experience. I’m always looking for a new and fresh spot to take my couples and families, so when I happened upon what looked to be a small park nearby the vineyards, I asked Tanner and Lexi to trust me. And because they are who they are, not only did they trust me, but they did so excitedly!
I popped the address into the GPS and as they followed me to our second destination (farther and farther into the woods), I just kept praying they were still trusting in the car behind me. Haha! After all, they had just met me only an hour before, and here I was taking them to the middle of nowhere!
As you’ll see, I think that leap of faith really payed off. What we found was a gem of a spot in Cheniere State Park on Pucketts Lake (a little less lake looking than one might think from the name! haha!) that provided all the Louisiana feels.
Now, I can’t wait to see these two again for their wedding in March!!
So very proud of Lexi, happy for Tanner and Lexi, and amazed at the photography Jennifer!… Able to enjoy my Great niece and her wonderful fiance from afar (Oregon )with these wonder photos!
Gorgeous!!
Lexi, you are stunning and Tanner is so handsome! Your photographer is right, you are a ray of sunshine and she captured it beautifully.
