Have you ever known someone that seems to become more beautiful the older they get?
Well, meet Kelli.
Kelli was my high school English teacher, but in the years since, I’ve come to know her as a friend. She is incredibly witty, intelligent, poised, stylish, humble, sophisticated, thoughtful, and obviously gorgeous. All throughout our portrait session, I just gasped to catch my breath. And thank goodness none of you can see me when I edit, because when it’s this level of beauty, I just giggle and smile and do this super terrible habit of mine – “happy fingers.” (If you know, you know.)
And just when you thought Kelli was the most adorable thing, enter her girls. Y’all. I have a borderline obsession with these two. Not only are they just the cutest little things, but they both inherited the very best of their mother’s AND father’s senses of humor. Kelli and Jim often video the girls and their antics around the house, and it is always a race between my husband and me to be able to tell the other that there’s a new video up!
Seth and I were both able to see Kelli and the girls in person the weekend prior to these photos, and we walked away saying, “Man, we better have funny kids. What happens if we don’t?” Ha!
So, suffice it to say that spending time with these girls was a true joy for me. Kelli recently celebrated a milestone birthday and wanted to document that time with her girls. She told me she had a pretty dress that needed wearing, and I was hooked! 🙂 The day turned out to be an exquisite March afternoon with gorgeous warm sunshine, emerging greens, weeds we’ll call wildflowers, and a soft breeze to finish off the mood. A fairytale, y’all.
I hope you enjoy these as much as I have, because I just can’t quit staring at them!
