Happy Monday, friends! I’m throwing it back to fall colors and fall leaves today for this light-filled family session for sweet friends back in Alabama.
I have had the pleasure of photographing the Turberville family since sweet Davis was born, and what a pleasure it has been! When scheduling their session, I have to make sure I have a spare 2-6 hours afterwards, because I automatically know we are going to hang around afterwards and chit chat. (And no, I’m not kidding about the 6 hours, part. We have definitely done that. Haha!)
When Stacie heard I’d be in Alabama this past fall, she asked if we could do their family portraits at her parents’ house and property, and I was definitely in for that. As I drove in that morning, I noticed a spot where the sun was glowing through the trees (and actually in the edge of a neighbor’s yard) that I thought would be perfect. When I mentioned it to Stacie and Ben, they were a bit skeptical, but agreed. A few minutes in, I showed them the back of the camera, and Stacie says, “See! I know that’s why I should always trust you! I did NOT think that’s how that would turn out!” 😉 Hahaha! I may be a little biased, but that sunshine was PERFECTION.
After a bit of minor trespassing (to be fair, this is in the middle of the country, everybody knows everybody, and it was perfectly fine! haha!), we hopped back on the side by side and spent the rest of the morning feeding the horses and perusing the property. A perfect morning, if you ask me. So happy that we were able to capture such a beautiful south Alabama property and a place where the Turberville family loves to be.
