Blogging had to take a little bit of a back step in the fall, so I could manage all the other 395839058 things on my plate, but I’m back! And today, I want to introduce you to the latest member of the MARRIED #jbradfordbride TRIBE – Mrs. Emily Ann McWilliams!
Emily and Adam married this past Saturday here in Shreveport, Louisiana, and until I can get their wedding blog post up, I want to show off our lovely bride.
Emily’s bridal portrait session took place at the Red River National Wildlife Refuge over on the Bossier City side of the river just before Christmas. But you see, this wasn’t just a normal day for Emily. Emily’s grandfather had just passed the day before and her family was in the midst of grieving this tremendous loss. Nonetheless, she was surrounded by a host of her people. Her best friend, future mother-in-law, aunt, one of her triplet brothers (yes, she’s a triplet! How awesome is that??), mom, and even her grandmother joined her in support of this momentous occasion. And it was then that I began to see what a wonderful family she had. That in the midst of this season of grief and despair, they were there to support her, fluff her dress, hold her flowers, button her buttons, and be the all around wonderful people they are.
And so, we created beautiful portraits of celebration in moments of despair.
And that’s just another reason I treasure every moment with my clients. Every precious moment I’m invited into means the world to me.
Absolutely beautiful, the most prettiest bride and wedding ever.
